Sacrifice, by definition, is unconditional. Nothing belongs to me. I own nothing and must take the minimum resources to survive. This was a continuing quest for truth to set the world free. That quest provided added sparks to brighten my path towards being an educationist on my terms and vision.
My quest for truth brought me to also to the realization that man lost his freedom when he started dividing society and looting people. This led to him getting invaded by, or being ensnared in, his own web of fear. Yes, man’s fear is his sin. He needs to be free of that sin. When he focuses on his problems and his fears, those shall drown him.
When John, the apostle, says “the blood of Jesus cleanses us from all sins”, he was using those words to describe an unconditional sacrifice.
Unconditional sacrifice means one owns nothing and needs minimum resources to survive. It means one exists in this world to facilitate its path forward, to facilitate the movement of the wheels and give liberty to others around to think and maximize their creativity.
Such a thinking made me sacrifice the pleasures of life. I can live today with minimal food as eating doesn’t condition me or bother me. I can also live with minimal sleep. Thanks to yogic powers, my body, mind and intellect survive despite sleepless nights.
The challenge was practicing unconditional love, as spiritual texts teach us. Love everything — fish, bird, animals — unconditionally. Being tolerant is one basic way to love. Allow space for everyone. I have a policy to never breed hatred. Punish people, but don’t hate or abandon people. Build harmony.
I decided that my path was one of unconditional love and sacrifice. There were times when following such a course was doubted. That path was, sometimes blamed for, the problems that beset my family and the people around me. But I stuck to that path nonetheless and never gave up my integrity. My life was to work towards unbiased, unconditional, unadulterated happiness, come what may.
